Secretary - Johannesburg

Our well established client is looking for an Experienced Secretary I/II in JHB North.

Duties and responsibilities:

Large volumes of dicta and copy typing.
Attending to invoice and paying of third party invoices timeously
Answering telephone calls, and taking detailed messages.
Preparing and drafting of schedules, preparing standard letters of demand, and undertakings.
Liaising with local sheriffs , from time to time, Judge’s clerks, and Trade Mark Office personnel
Assisting the senior associate and Professional assistant in practice administration, including the management of the diary
Bringing urgent matters to the attention of the attorney dealing with the matter
Dealing with matters promptly and efficiently and ensuring that all urgent tasks are completed on time
Understanding all areas of practice and office procedures.
Preparing monthly reports for clients on the status of various matters being handled on their behalf.

Requirements

Skills and knowledge:

Displaying a high level of initiative and being pro-active in practice.
A meticulous person with excellent communication skills
Computer literate in MS-Word, Excel and the internet
Typing speed of 50+wpm, accurate typing and excellent dictation skills
Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and meet deadlines
Ability to prioritise and have good organizational skills

Qualification/s:
Matric/ National Diploma
Litigation experience is preferable
3 years secretarial experience
