Permanent opportunity for individual with 2 - 3 years secretarial experience and a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm. Experience in working in a law firm is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Large volumes of dicta, copy typing and opening of files
Creation of new Trade Mark records
Capturing of history on computer records
Communicating with search clerks at the Trade Marks Office and CIPC
Attending to accounting matters
Typing of invoices and credit notes
Drawing diary files and drafting follow-up correspondence
Faxing, filing, photocopying and general office duties
Sending and receiving emails
Checking and monitoring Standing Instructions
Answering telephone calls and screening calls
Handling routine correspondence
Arranging meetings and appointments
Arranging refreshments / luncheons for clients
Compiling document packs for meetings
Assisting the Associate and Professional Assistant in practice administration
REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
National Diploma preferable
Litigation experience is preferable
2 - 3 years secretarial experience
Experience in working in a law firm
Displaying initiative and being pro-active inpractice
Meticulous with good communication skills
Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, accurate typing
Excellent dictation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to prioritise and have good organisational skills
Attention to detail
