SECTION MANAGER (ORE PRODUCTION), MACHADODORP, RNEG

MINING DEGREE + MINE MANAGER CERTIFICATE + 7 YEARS EXP IN ORE PRODUCTION (OPEN PIT) + 5 YEARS AS SECTION MANAGER.

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT TO THE HOD: ORE PRODUCTION AND THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
WILL INCLUDE:
? Compile and implement the Ore Production Strategy for Open Pit mining.
? Manage large scale earthmoving contractors as well as all Mining and Supply Chain contracts and controls.
? Aligning different contractor’s strategies to the business strategy and business plan.
? Identify and develop required skills set and competencies to achieve business targets.
? Inspect subordinates and area for safety and identify registrations to assure legal compliance.
? Ensure working area and equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition.
? Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, safety rules, policies and procedures.
? Development and implementation of simple and clear planning system for production
? Oversee housekeeping principles are adhered to within the Open pit Section.
? Optimization of ore production
? Establish team work and ensure performance of the team
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:
• Degree or Diploma Mining equivalent to NQF 6
• Computer literacy
• Mine Manager Certificate of Competency
• 6-7 years Mining Operational experience at metalliferrous operation in the field
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS OR OPTIONAL:
• National Honours Degree
• Management Development Programme
