To work independently on jobs under the supervision of a Technician who will ultimately be responsible for
the final checking of the task/s. Duties herewith include:
Complete complaint, cause and correction on jobs cards for sign off by supervisor.
Work according to OE standard repair times.
Carries out complex repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Uses basic fault finding equipment.
Chooses alternative ways of carrying out tasks.
Operates electrical and mechanical equipment.
Carries out welding, grinding, assembling.
Work according to occupational health and safety requirements.
Helping where needed and carrying out any reasonable requests.
Profile
Grade 10 (N2) with Mathematics and English.
Minimum three years' experience in a workshop environment.
Understand instructions in English.
Communicate effectively in English.
Basic writing ability in English.
Demonstrates technical skills and abilities.
Knowledge of basic fault finding equipment.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
Certificate of fitness (COF).
Clear criminal record.
Code 08 (EB) drivers licence.
