Senior Accountant - Automotive - Johannesburg - Gauteng
Salary: R45-50K CTC Per Month

Complement Recruitment (Pty) Ltd Is looking to a Senior Accountant for our client within the Automotive & Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate must be of an energetic nature, able to motivate a team and have excellent and proven leadership skills. Automotive industry experience advantageous. This is a permanent position based in the Kempton Park area.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric; Finance Qualification
• 5+ Years within an automotive industry finance / accountant role (understand the industry terminology and demands and supply nature of the business)
• Drivers License and Own Vehicle
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Computer Literate MS Excel, Pastel, Automate etc
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

Responsibilities:
• Manage, motivate and delegate tasks to a team of 7 people
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Ad-hoc duties as requested
