Senior Accounting Manager – AAT
A vacancy exists in the Pietermaritzburg office of a national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors for a Senior Accounting Manager to commence duties as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities
To manage the portfolio of the accounting clients and to ensure the quality of the accounting services are effectively and efficiently managed
within the allocated resources.
Responsibilities will include:
• Manage the Accounting Department –staff and work allocation
• Preparation of budgets for clients
• Preparation of quotations – prospect clients
• Monitoring budget to actual against work in progress
• Review working paper files and Annual Financial Statements
• Discussion with staff regarding work and provide direction
• Review of tax computations
• Review of management accounts
• Liaising with clients
• Provide on the job training
• Fee collections
• Staff training

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience
• B Compt degree
• At least 3 year working experience in an accounting firm
• Proficient in Caseware and Pastel
• Basic experience in dealing directly with SARS
• Experienced in working with SARS e-filing
• Valid South African driver’s license
• Own transport
