Senior Agricultural Engineer – Pietermaritzburg
Our client is looking to employ a Senior Agricultural Engineer with 15+ years’ relevant experience. This is a permanent position in their Pietermaritzburg offices.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of a B Sc. In Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Must be a professionally registered engineer (Pr Eng.)

Profile

Duties will include all aspects of Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on the following:
• Design, installation and management of irrigation schemes
• Design of runoff management and soil conservation structures
• Design of agricultural structures and roads
• Design and management of agro-processing facilities
• Design of agricultural power and energy systems
• Agricultural potential assessments and feasibility studies
• Crop yield modelling
• Preparation of design reports and contract documents including technical specifications
• Supervision and management of construction
Other Requirements
A background in agronomy would be an advantage.
