PBT Group has an opportunity for strong BI Architect with expertise in Data Architecture, Informatica, Business Objects.

Duties:
- Accept overall responsibility for the technical design of the data warehouse / BI Solution, including the technical infrastructure, performance considerations, storage repository selections and organisation, data schemas and security constraints required to support the data warehouse system.
- Be involved in taking key technology decisions.
- Work in close collaboration with Developers to ensure that the different parts of a solution are integrated and appropriate technology choices are made.
- Work with Business Analysts and clients to ensure that the system evolves to meet emerging business requirements.
- Work with Project Manager to assist with planning activities and that tasks are allocated in a way that reduces dependencies between different streams of work.
- Provide the overall cohesiveness to ensure that all the components of the envisaged solution will fit together.

Required Skills:
- A sound knowledge of and experience with the systems components making up the entire Business Intelligence system and data architecture.
- Strong Oracle development experience required (PL/SQL)
- Experience in data warehouse / BI solution performance analysis, tuning and administration is required.
- Experience in ETL design using Informatica
- Reporting experience using Business Objects
- Experience with cubing
- At least 6 - 8 years’ experience in projects that vary in size, technology and domain.
- Expert-level technical knowledge in one or more areas of technology.
- Excellent communication and client interfacing skills.
- Skill in representing different architectural views of a system using diagramming and other tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualise solutions.
- The ability to work independently as well as in conjunction with a team.
- System design and architecture experience is essential.
- Experience in the Financial industry would be a huge advantage.
- Strong analysis, design and implementation skills.
- Some understanding of underlying infrastructure from a networking perspective

Required Qualifications / Training:
- Relevant data warehouse architecture and infrastructure training is essential.
- B.Sc. or related degree is advantageous.
