n opportunity has become available for a seasoned senior Bookkeeper in JHB East.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• To monitor and verify GL transactions to ensure accuracy of transactions according to general
• To process corrective and recurring journals as is required in the company’s financial procedures
• To prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial information and correct reporting to management
• To develop financial SOP’s to ensure compliance with GAAP and PFMA
• To assist the financial accountant with ad-hoc finance tasks to facilitate month end/year end procedures
• To oversee regular bank reconciliations with Oracle in order to ascertain discrepancies and refer them for appropriate action. (Month end processes - After AR and AP close , run TB, Run CM reports, Compare reports to bank reconciliations, discrepancies identified are amended as they are picked up AP- payments processes have to be administered, if not cleared they have to be voided and be reissued}
• To download bank statements from the banking system and import into Oracle system daily to facilitate financial reconciliations
• To perform Cash Flow forecasting daily in order to plan and execute transfers of funds between current and investment accounts
• To monitor Lease agreements and process related journals in order to ensure that financial obligations are met
• To perform inter-Company adjustments and reconciliations of related accounts to ensure accuracy of accounts
• To manage Trust funds and STI Green Book funds, Opening and Closing of new bank accounts
• To supervise staff in order to ensure accurate financial reporting

Key Competency Requirements:
• Diploma in Bookkeeping is essential
• 5 years experience in Bookkeeping
• Knowledge of Oracle
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
