Senior Brand Manager
We are urgently recruiting for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our clients team and drive their brands forward. Our Client is a leading international luxury wines and spirits conglomerate known for their excellent culture. Within their Senior Management Team they are currently looking to fill a Senior Brand Manager vacancy to manage their biggest and most exclusive portfolio.
As the brand custodian (head of group luxury portfolio), you will be responsible for creating and executing brand strategies within the product portfolio and marketing function consistent with overall business objectives. This will entail growing the account base and developing strategies to drive the availability, visibility, engagement and sales in the defined account base and at target market cultural and social occasions. Additionally, you will also be responsible for understanding and monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs.

Key responsibilities will also include:
• Driving and building key relationships with leading and iconic venues and/or venue owners as well as key influencers
• Actively networking and building strong collaboration relationships within the luxury industry in South Africa.
• Developing B2B opportunities.
• Leading the growth, development and training of your team.

Desired Skills & Experience
• Appropriate tertiary marketing qualification – degree / diploma.
• Post graduate qualification preferred
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power-point, MS Project
• Professional experience & know how : 7 - 8 years brand marketing experience in consumer goods
• Must have knowledge and exposure/experience within the luxury goods environment.
• Experience working within the beverage alcohol space is strongly preferred
• International experience a plus.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.
• Experience working in partnership with Sales required.
• Knowledge of forecasting and planning, budgeting, promotional coordination, product development, pricing, trade marketing
• Dynamic and decisive, highly collaborative, with ability to work within multiple cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver results
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience presenting recommendations to executives on a routine basis
• Solid business acumen
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment with a positive, change agent mentality.


o Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Johannesburg
o Travel: 25% - 35%
