Our Client is Seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Developer who is currently how has previously worked on the Oil and Gas Industry and LNG Plants

Minimum Requirements

Degree in IT related field (3 year Diploma also fine)
Strong Business Analyst experience

Good Project Management experience

2 years software development experience

Knowledge of IT life cycle and processes


Some experience with following applications/technologies:
- MS Visual Studio 2010

- VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, VBA, JavaScript, jQuery

- Relational databases

(Candidate need not be an expert programmer, but experienced enough to understand the capabilities and constraints of different software technologies in oder to design optimum solutions


Preferred:
Experience with OSISoft PI, Yokogawa, Honeywell
Experience working in the Oil & Gas industry and LNG plants


Job Specification

Design, develop, and test quality IT solutions focused primarily on real-time data gathering, processing, and visualization using OSISoft PI.

Deliver solutions on time and according to specification, whilst maintaining appropriate level of documentation

Work close together with developer to ensure quality and timely deliverable of RTO solutions to our client.

Desired Skills and Experience

PI-RTO Business Analyst

Business Analyst will be assigned to the PI-RTO project portfolio. The analyst will work on a number of IT solutions, focused primarily on Real-time data collection, integration, processing, and visualisation. These solutions may leverage any of the following OSISoft PI system components, which the analyst should have in-depth knowledge of:

PI UDS

PI HA

PI AF

PI Analytics (ACE)

PI Client Tools (ProcessBook, DataLink, WebParts, Coresight)

PI Interface nodes (DA, AE, RDBMS)



The analyst should maintain a good understanding of PI-RTO related business processes, applications, information, and data, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business IT architecture.

The analyst should maintain appropriate relationships with key business and IT stakeholders whilst being able to constructively challenge.

PI-RTO Business Analyst activities shall include, but not be limited to:

IT Business analysis work on PI-RTO projects, including:

o Feasibility study and Requirements definition

o Solution design

o Project documentation and sign-off

o Drive business process improvements and information standardization

Project Management tasks, including:

o Project planning (scope, quality, timelines)

o End-to-end delivery of projects from initiation to closeout

o Stakeholder communication

o Quality assurance

o Risk assessment

o Handover of solutions to IT support

o Change management

Co-ordinate and supervise PI-RTO software development activities

Define and package development work for PI-RTO Developer and other supporting staff

Assist with software development work where required

Act as a functional expert for the OSISoft PI system

Ensure project documentation is kept in-line with business documentation standards

Provide functional support of solutions already in production
