A Company in the Banking Sector in Pretoria, needs to appoint a SENIOR Business Analyst, who will assist with the establishment of the Strategic Portfolio Management Office within the Executive Management Department. The main purpose for this BA will be to conduct detailed business analysis and facilitation sessions for the establishment and implementation of the Strategic Portfolio Management Office (SPMO).
This is a 36-month CONTRACT position.

Purpose:
The main purpose of this position is to conduct facilitation sessions, critically evaluate and analyses in respect of the below components and ensure alignment and standardised adoption across the Enterprise Change and PMO communities.
Standardisation of portfolio, programme and project methodologies, processes, tools and templates taking cognisance of existing artifacts, processes and tools, ensuring the Enterprise wide alignment of requirements/ engagements.
Completion and scoping of Enterprise Demand management framework ensuring alignment to current Governance Committee Reviews, Optimisation of approval protocols and Budgeting processes.
Development and implementation on Socialisation programme for all Business Project resources in conjunction with selected vendor.

Key deliverables:
Identifying stakeholders who are impacted by an initiative or share a common business need
Planning business analysis activities
Consulting with business to understand business objectives, drivers, functions and structures, and developing detailed workflow analyses
Consulting with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, document and validate requirements for changes to business processes or systems requirements
Investigating problems and proposing possible solutions by interacting with users, developers and other participating stakeholders
Analysing the feasibility of options, recommending viable solutions, validating these with stakeholders and developing the supporting business case
Working collaboratively with the business customer and technical stakeholders to document the specifications for a chosen solution in terms of information systems, processes and people requirements
Consulting with other specialists in the across the Enterprise
Managing & documenting requirements and specifications
Developing user manuals
Supporting Training of Users


Minimum Experience Required:
Banking background will be a plus
Minimum five to ten years’ experience in Business Analysis
Knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) is ESSENTIAL
Skilled in business process models analysis, design and documentation is essential
Ability to use basic software applications (e.g., Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail)
Skilled in using modelling tools
Communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong Facilitation skills
Negotiation skills
Agile knowledge preferable
Interpersonal relationship building and maintaining skills
Presentation skills

Qualifications/Certification:
B degree/National Diploma in Economics/Finance/IT/Accounting
Or
A Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent
