SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Our client – an outstanding global player and industry leader in the investment arena – has a fantastic Cape Town based opportunity for a Business Analyst. The role will be to receive documents, review and support client change requests and internal IMS projects. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to support the IMS Shared Services teams in relation to client and internal changes to processes – monitor, track and document large Non BAU projects and minute client meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that the change requests are monitored, discussed and agreed with business owners. Manage new processes, funds, and requirements into processing.
• Continually challenge and, where appropriate, improve current working practices as part of projects and changes to the business gaining efficiencies where possible.
• Achieve internal project targets and deadlines
• Maintain support, and where possible exceeding customer service standards.
• Plan project requirements and document into Change Management records.
• Take individual responsibility for dealing with complex problems that arise, liaising where necessary with the Head of Change Management.
• To keep abreast of market changes and developments, and internal system developments ensuring that all new processes align to best capability and practices.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Business Analysis
• Minimum of five years Investments experience, two of which should have been involved in project work.
• Detailed knowledge of Investment Instruments i.e. Equities, Bonds and Foreign Exchange
• Detailed knowledge & understanding of Derivative instruments both exchange traded and OTC including:

o Futures and options
o Swaps (including Interest Rate – Inflation Linked, Total Return and CDS).

• Detailed knowledge of the Operational processes for IMS Business Operations
• Must be able to be assessed as Threshold Competent.
• Computer literate – Excel and PowerPoint to intermediate level.
