Identify key levers on financial performance, recommending improved methods of analyzing results is key to the success of the role as business analyst. Be the financial face this FMCG business, partnering with Supply Chain, Operations and the Commercial team. Work for a brand that is synonymous with excellence. Understand the key cash KPI’s and the impact of business activities on cash flows. Assist with Profit and Loss reporting, budgeting, latest estimates and strategic plan requirement for South Africa and Africa. Providing a Business Partnering function to internal stakeholders. Compiling information and developing tools for accurate financial budgets, plans and estimates. Involved with Risk Management, Treasury and Internal Control and analysis of financial status and the business partnering function.



Qualification:

CIMA preferred

CA (SA)



Skills & Experience:

Profit and loss very important

Importing costs

Must come from a multi-national FMCG environment

Knowledge and experience of database management & BI (Business Intelligence) applications/tools

QlikView and JD Edwards will be advantageous



Job Description:

Perform detailed analysis of P&L performance, including rates per case versus comparator and brand P&L’s.

Present financial reports to internal stakeholders, providing explanations of variances and gaps.

Analysis and translation of operational forecasts into accurate budgets, estimates and plans.

Providing real time support and advice to the Business, adding value to the decision-making process.

Identifying the root cause of internal control deficiencies and make recommendations accordingly.

Ensuring the implementation of corrective action plans related to risk management.

Be the voice of reason by challenging forecast assumptions to ensure reasonableness and achievability.
