In their pursuit of becoming a world class manufacturer, our client in PIETERMARITZBURG (KZN) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced SENIOR BUYER to join their Finance Team.

Job Purpose:

Reports to General Manager – this position must fully and competently source all production and non-production items for the purpose of stainless-steel manufacturing of automotive accessories.

Nature of Duties:

Order all stock for production including consumables, accessories & maintenance items.
Source good quality products at the best price.
Process Purchase Orders.
Follow up on outstanding orders and receive new orders.
Provide full stock forecasting.
Maintain minimum stock levels.
Build sound relationships with Suppliers.

Education and Skills:

Matric
Relevant Procurement / Financial qualification.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel& Outlook) and any accounting software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Manufacturing background.
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
Own Transport and must reside in Pietermaritzburg.
Must be able to work under extreme pressure.
Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.

Salary is negotiable based on experience & qualifications.
