They have an exciting job opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager who will be responsible for advising clients on cost, planning, contractual arrangements, procurement of contractors and cost control of projects until completion and within the client’s budget, and Managing the Business Unit

Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Commercial Manager in Centurion will include:

-Providing tender procurement assistance
-Estimating and providing contractual advice and evaluation
-Procuring and administering early survey works
-Preparing financial reporting and managing cash flow
-Resolving contractual and commercial problems
-Discovering and rectifying areas that are not in-keeping with regulatory practices
-Offering direction and instruction
-Risk assessment
-Reviewing and developing operational process flows
-Ensuring that all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations
-Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contracts are clear to all parties
-Overseeing financial KPIs
-Management/mentoring/training of other Quantity Surveyors
-Develop commercial management processes and standards within a business
-Be accountable for the overall business commercial management and report to the Head of the Department
-Ensure proper commercial closure of projects
-Manage and monitor legal issues through liaison and briefing of the relevant legal team

Requirements for this Senior Commercial Manager job in Centurion:

-Postgraduate Degree in Science majoring in Quantity Surveying preferably a Master’s Degree, Professionally Registered with SACQSP
-Minimum 15 years in a similar position with business strategy, contract management, commercial and legal management; operational planning and implementation and staff management
-Legal knowledge: Employee Equity Act, Labour Relations Act and OHS Act
-Quality Management: ISO 9000 compliance
-Driver’s license is essential
-Registration with the SACQSP, ASAQS and other relevant professional bodies
-Assessment of Professional Competence
