• Manage a portfolio of complex and/or large existing and/or prospective clients by providing contracted employee benefit consulting, investment consulting, and other services
• Develop, implement and monitor the strategy for clients and to ensure alignment to the overall consulting strategy
• Ensure retention of existing business and optimal growth of client accounts
• Ensure growth through the addition of new clients

• Ensure strong relationship with trustees/management committees and clients so as to reduce business risk, ensure retention and identify opportunities for new business
• Manage and deliver consulting and advise services according to contracted service levels
• Provide general, secretarial, benefit, post-retirement medical aid, actuarial, communication, investment consulting, risk benefit and legal consulting services to existing clients
• Responsible for retention and growth of business against targets
• Market new and enhanced products and services to clients
• Manage the launch of new clients and exit of discontinued funds
• Provide input to Corporate so as to enable product and services to be enhanced and developed
• Resolves top-level problems where Consultant needs assistance and support
• Intervene in and resolves conflict situations
• Develop, lead and manage Consultant and Associate Consultant
• Meets overall objectives by supporting team members (Principal Consultants, Consultants and Associate Consultants)
• Manages the expense and income budgets

Qualifications and Experience

• NQF 7 or above qualification
• CA / Actuary qualification will be an advantage
• FAIS compliance
• A specialised role, mainly dealing with Post-Retirement Medical Aid consulting services, but will also be expected to deal with other consulting services across other segments of the business.
• Must have Senior Manager experience
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience (consulting experience).
• Must have balance sheet experience (CA / Actuary qualification preferred).
• Someone that has the potential to become a successor to the current Principal Consultant role within the next 5 years.
