Urgent recruitment drive is on for a senior Content Strategist for one of SA’s most innovative brands. Apart from sharing the latest local and international music with its loyal fans, the brand wants to create awesome, exclusive content.

We are looking for someone with a passion for music and up-to-date knowledge on the South African Hip Hop and House music scene. You will attend music events, and interview some of SA’s most talented artists.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading strategy for and executing digitally integrated campaigns including live events, digital, social, on-site activations, etc.
• Developing creative briefs for internal teams.
• Brainstorming with agency members to create compelling creative concepts for client projects.
• Setting targets and timelines for programs and key initiatives.
• Managing the Editorial Team
• Sourcing freelance writers, correspondents and photographers and creatively review and proofread all content

You will meet the following minimum requirements:
• A diploma or degree in English, Journalism or Copywriting
• Minimum of 3-4 years in online publishing
• Music industry experience/knowledge/keen interest (local and international) is a must
• Conversant on all new emerging social/digital technologies.
• Expert knowledge around key digital media (ads, web, content), social media platforms, direct marketing, and technology
• Technical Journalist background

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Johannesburg.
