The Senior Copywriter in Johannesburg will be responsible for taking various product category and communications briefs and generating unique, creative, and original content that garners attention and facilitates clear communication with various target markets across print, digital and other marketing media. This job includes creating positioning statements, taglines, slogans, body copy, headlines, product naming, press releases, social content and scripts. These creative assets will be utilized in a variety of hard copy and digital marketing communications vehicles that include sales literature, packaging, presentations, e-mails, websites, newsletters, social media, public relations materials and advertising.

- Professional Experience - Demonstrated experience creating, editing, content development and copywriting
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and exceptional spelling, grammar and proof-reading
- Ability to develop, produce and deliver clear, persuasive, original content that resonates with various target audiences in a unique and differentiating way
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Proficiency in programs such as InDesign would be desirable
- Previous exposure to marketing communications (advertising, PR, digital), channel programming, product development functions and strategic internal/external communications
- Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent business experience. Additionally, candidates with experience in marketing, content marketing, writing, literature, communications, and mass media are highly sought
