Description:
• Recruiting for an experienced creative that has gained experience as a Creative Director to develop, implement and maintain a creative strategy in line with the company’s marketing and promotional requirements.
• The individual is also required to lead a team of designers and build an internal skill range to include copywriting, presentation visuals, motion graphic design, animation, flash development and recorded visual editing.
• The role will require full ownership of all aspects of promotional campaign development and implementation and will require that full direction and guidance be provided to the team to achieve campaign goals as per the marketing/executive brief.

Requirements:

• Delivering work that is complete with a fully thought out solution rather than providing multiple options with minimal oversight.
• Develop & maintain strict design guidelines & consistency standards
• Create consistency with the brand and align all promotional solutions to the core brand message and company ethos.
• Work closely with the designers to build visually striking marketing communications.
• Assign work & art direct the work of designers.
• Dealing with all issues of a design nature arising from projects including technical, resourcing etc.
• Work with the marketing team, senior directors and related departments to expand the promotional campaign to key target markets across relevant countries.
• Complete work within deadlines and budgets
• Manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
• Develop, empower and manage a second-tier team towards creative strategy.
• Ensure communication between design team & management.
• Arrange & contribute towards regular creative team meetings.
• Explore value-adds & relevant technology
• Assist in the planning & implementation of the yearly creative calendar
• Travel sometimes required.
• A strong presenter with a broad orientation on and experience in full service-both thinking and acting.
• Strong in reviews- you must be able to substantiate your remarks with arguments and you must not be afraid to be confronting when needed but you must be able to create plenty of room for your staff to grow and to better themselves.

Skills and knowledge
• Solid background in design, layout & copywriting (including animation & motion graphics).
• Experience with photoshop, illustrator, flash, powerpoint (or keynote) & other programs usually required to apply.
• An in-depth understanding of digital mediums & required digital components is required (websites & microsites, web banners, email newsletters, touchscreen & other interactive applications, motion graphics, audio etc).
• Must be able to manage the creative team from concept to completion of the projects with strong leadership.
• Knowledge of each step of an ad campaign’s process to give creative’s direction, work on schedule & meet the organisation’s requirements.
• Knowledge of how an advertising agency operates including design, development & production methods in order to implement a similar process model to scale.
• Knowledge of the media & the best types of media to use for different advertising situations
• Thorough understanding of communication practices including usability & graphic interface design.
• Understanding of various cultures, human behavior & thought.
• Knowledge of art materials, software & techniques including how to use colour & design effectively.
• Good people skills, including listening & negotiation skills
• Good time management and planning ability.
• Analytical skills for determining core needs.
• Research skills for finding out about market trends, & the products & services they are helping to sell.
• Good overall general knowledge.

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years of experience at an agency.
• Candidates must provide progress qualifications that indicate upgrading of skills and broadening of knowledge base.
