The company wishes to employ a Senior CS Technician for the Gauteng North and Gauteng South region. The successful incumbent will be based at the Head Office in Johannesburg and will report to the National Technical Manager and the Technical Director.

Job Purpose: The Senior CS Technician will be responsible for investigating difficulties or faults in the operation or utilization of the company equipment and for implementing appropriate solutions

Duties:

Service and repair all CSSD equipment supplied by the company
Investigate difficulties or faults arising in the operation or utilization of the company equipment
Suggest appropriate solutions or arrange for modifications
Attend to breakdowns and call outs on the installations and any other CSSD equipment installed/supported by the company
Support and train the technicians in the other regions on equipment and any other CSSD equipment
Be trained on the biomedical equipment sold by the company
Be available for standby
Ensure Electro-medical devices are calibrated/verified according to specification
Commissioning of new Electro-medical equipment
Ensure proper record keeping and filing of Calibration certificates
Onsite maintenance and repairs of Electro-medical devices
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, etc
Provides advise to customers on the application, installation and operation of specialized equipment, supplies and services
Notifying customers when working out of the scope of employment
Maintain customer satisfaction at all times
Maintain stock in your location code
Perform other related duties as required during working hours

Skills:

Ability to install and administer Electro-medical hardware, software and networks
Fault finding and problem solving skills
General knowledge of PLC system
Must be able to read and understand electrical, electronic and pneumatic circuit diagrams
Must be able to read and understand architectural floor plans for installation purposes
General knowledge on infection control
Computer literacy
Team building and decision making skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills, presentation and listening skills
Basic Electronic and Electrical knowledge

Qualifications and Experience:

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Technical qualification
At least 4 years relevant experience
