? Apply knowledge on Tariffing, Customs valuations and Rules of origin to accurately prepare all types of Customs Bills of Entries for SARS
? Apply knowledge to undertake any other Customs or other Regulatory departmental work such as External services / Border Police, Customs penalty committee, NRCS, ITAC, PHO, States Vet, Plant Inspector, Transnet, SAPS, Environmental affairs etc.
? Manage the daily flow of all relevant clearances through Customs to ensure we meet all KPI’s.
? Assist clients with all Customs related queries.
? Maintain clients product libraries and their portfolio of products
? Ensure that HS Customs tariff book is always updated on receipt of updates from service providers
? Ensure that all entry clerks are kept up to date on all changes relating to Customs and other regulatory authorities.
? Implement and improve on quality systems applicable to framing of bills of entries.
? Ensure the finalization of all relevant Customs stops and other Regulatory authorities’ stops until finalized.
? Prepare all relevant reports for management as and when required
? Do joint service calls with Key Account Managers to discuss matters relating to SARS
? Provide support to channel controllers and other internal Company Departments
? Develop and maintain a good working relationship with SARS and other regulatory departments
? Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all the Customs entry clerks and provide them with leadership and mentorship.
? Manage all relevant Provisional Payments (deposits and penalties)
? Follow up on all refunds, liquidations and drawbacks until monies have been received by refund controller.
? Handling of onboard couriers during office hours and after hours
? Do ongoing audits on entries framed to determine risk and by putting measures in place to manage the same.
Requirements:
To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/ display the following key skills/ attributes:
? Relevant experience in framing bills of entries, minimum of at least 7 years
? Must have knowledge of the current Customs Act and the new Customs Bills, including the rules and the general rules to the completion of Customs declarations / Bills of entries of entries.

? Must be computer literate and experience on Compu Clear System.
? Willing to work after hours/weekends/ and on public holiday when required.
? Must have worked on Compu – clear system.
