What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Civil Works sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Design civil works such as roads, stormwater, sewage, waterworks and earthworks
* Mentor junior designers
* Ensure designs align to codes
* Use Autodesk CAD software without supervision

Key Job Deliverables:

* Designs that Comply with the Relevant Codes
* Help grow the business through customer interaction
* Prepare contract documentation, i.e. tender documents including specifications and bills of quantities
* Designing of township services using RoadMate, PipeMate, SurfMate

Background work experience

* 10 years in Civil Works such as Roads, stormwater, sewage, waterworks and earthworks
* 10 years experience in Civil Design Codes. TRH Series (Roads, stormwater and earthworks), Red Book (Guidelines for Human Settlement Planning and Design) as a minimum.
* BSc / Btech Civils + PR Eng / Tech Eng
* Designing of township services crucial, i.e. roads, s/w, sewer, water and earthworks.
* Autodesk Suite, i.e. Pipemate, road mate, datum mate, surf mate.
* Experienced in Relevant Design Codes
* Willing to undergo competency testing

Location: Johannesburg
Johannesburg office but work covers Gauteng, Free State, North West and Mpumalanga Provinces.

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of 640K to 900K per annum. Package could include a profit share component. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
