We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer for a Company in Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Recognized development language certifications.
  • Certifications in Networking, Vitalization and cloud computing.
  • 10+ years of development work with a proven track record of delivering code on time
  • 3 + experience in an agile development frame work (or equivalent)
  • 5 + Years in product development
  • Experience in a product lifecycle management framework (PLM)
  • Technical expertise in cloud technologies
High proficiency in the following languages:
  • C#
  • Java
  • C
  • C++
  • Perl
  • PHP
  • Web services / API (SOAP and REST)
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS
  • Python
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
  • C# & Java
  • VoIP, SIP and other Voice Technologies
  • PORTA Platform development & integration
  • Jasper Reporting
  • Atlassian JIRA
  • Atlassian Confluence
  • Scrum and Agile methodologies

Duties:
  • Participates in high level and detailed product design, engineering, development and integration.
  • Participates in the development of strategies and direction for cloud solutions using current and emerging technologies.
  • Participates in planning and recommendations for new and existing cloud products and services.
  • Participates in ensuring technical and corporate compliance of the Enterprise Architecture.
  • Owns the integration of new and existing products and services into the companies BSS and OSS systems.
  • Participates in the evaluation and recommendation of new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance or improve existing Cloud products and services.
  • Produce white papers on the new technologies and services that the Company may implement or have in existence.
  • Write the code necessary to integrate systems of to create Client and admin portals.
  • Participates in the identification and resolution of billing issues related to our variable billing systems.
  • Interfaces with third party vendors to determine new technologies that may enhance the existing Companies products and services, or to create new ones.
  • Participates in developing the I&T and cloud strategic roadmap, as well as presenting it to clients
  • Participates in building partnerships with project teams and works closely with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Participates in the development of project plans for the roll out of new or improved products.
  • Maintain the existing code that has been developed and continually strive for improvement.
  • Optimizes business processing, minimize manual intervention in all tasks
