A medium sized engineering consultancy specializing in the development and implementation of innovative designs relating to the electrical reticulation of low-cost buildings is on the hunt for an Electrical Reticulation Engineer to lead the electrical engineering unit on high end projects that range from high cost housing developments to technikons, office blocks, shopping centres and sport stadia.

Qualification:
BEng in Electrical Engineering
Pr. Eng (ECSA registration essential)

Skills & Experience:
Electrical and Electronic design of HV electrical design, including transformers, RMU, circuit breakers
Experience in HV projects and electrical distribution, control facilities including water/wastewater pump station projects, wastewater treatment plants, electrical substations, district cooling facilities, etc.
Oversee the preparation of contract drawings, specifications
Project management
Liaise with the sub-contractors and contractors on site, lead site meetings, compiling of tender documentation and control cost and/or budgets
Audit projects
Ability to communicate at all levels and sign off designs and completed projects
Proven track record of projects completed
Supervising and mentoring Junior Engineers and Draughtsman
Fault finding, calculations
5+ years’ experience

Take full responsibility of this fast paced electrical engineering division within a top performing company specialising in the development and implementation of innovative designs for low-cost buildings and lead the electrical engineering unit on the completion of high end projects that range from high cost housing developments to technikons, office blocks, shopping centres and sport stadia. To be successful in this high pressured environment you will need experience leading a strong team of Junior Engineers and Draughtsman as well as experience in HV projects and electrical distribution, control facilities including water/waste water pump station projects, wastewater treatment plants, electrical substations, district cooling facilities, etc. Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD, Retic Master and Power Master and will need to be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
