Qualification:
B. Eng/ B. Sc: Electrical Engineering
PR. Eng (adv)

Skills & Experience:
Perform grid code compliance studies – load flow, fault studies, reactive power capabilities
Be knowledgeable on software packages such as Retic Master, Power Office, MICROSTATION, BENTLEY, PSL CAD and AUTOCAD
Design MV/LV switchgear, earthing, lighting, motors and cabling
Replacing all medium voltage switchgear at power stations
Prepare concept and basic design proposals by following the specification
Project initiation, design integration, quality procedures, contract administration
Good knowledge and proven track record on power, grid connection, networks, substations and infrastructure projects
4 – 6 years’ experience

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects which includes MCC’s, LV & MV electrical reticulation, HV Power lines and MV/HV substations. Other duties will be full design on the electrical projects, tender compilation, mentoring of junior engineers, client engagement, budgeting and costing. To be successful in this job, you must have extensive knowledge on ESKOM Distribution standards, and extensive petrochemical industry experience will be to your advantage.
