Responsible for provision of high quality engineering services in all areas of structural design including:

• Structural design, detailing and documentation;
• Preparation of concept and tender designs;
• Assist in the preparation of EOI’s and proposals;
• Produce technical reports;
• Identifying and resolving problems and providing innovative solutions;
• Deliver the tasks/projects within time and budget and to the required standard;
• Provide technical assistance, support, supervision and training to junior engineers;
• Carry out (or assist Supervisor) in the design management of designated projects;
• Day to day management of the tasks/projects designated; and
• Team leader/Project Manager on designated projects.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out detailed design and documentation;
• Preparation of concept and tender designs;
• Provide prompt responses to site queries;
• Direction and supervision of drawing production and revision;
• Review and checking of design and documentation on designated projects;
• Deliver the tasks/projects within time and budget and to the required standard;
• Provide technical assistance, support and training to junior engineers;
• Maintaining client satisfaction on projects involved;
• Conduct bridge inspections.

Minimum Qualification:
• BSc Engineering Degree
• Professional registration

Other Requirements:
• Knowledge, skill and experience of design codes, guidelines and standards,
• Demonstrated design experience in different construction forms and methods;
• Demonstrated technical knowledge;
• Good communication skills – oral and written;
• Knowledge of analysis and design software;
• Knowledge of QMS, EMS and OH&S systems;
• Professional delivery and appearance to ensure the firms image is maintained;
• Courteous and business orientated manner when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations;
• Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment;
• Willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge;
• Ability to apply new knowledge, and able to work under pressure.
