Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to provide support to the Engineer for all Civil maintenance activities as per the Maintenance Manual so as to ensure continuous availability of infrastructure and compliance to applicable legislation.

• BSc / BTech Civil Engineering


• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer / Technologist

Minimum of 7 years experience

Ensure that Civil infrastructure and assets are maintained safely and in compliance with all statutory requirements, company policies, standing instructions and safe working procedures. Compile and manage Civil maintenance operating budgets and cash flows. Set goals, objectives and  prioritise maintenance work and communicate these clearly to the maintenance team and other important stakeholders. Continuously review maintenance methods, processes and practises for gaps and weaknesses and implement improvements.  Provide leadership to Maintenance Managers. Optimise asset management. Develop and professionally sign off repair methodologies for infrastructure defects. Regular monitoring of all maintenance work/contracts for quality, spending and compliance. Communicating and liaising with various support departments. Ensure SAP is fully implemented and optimally used. Ensure compliance with Rail Regulator.
