Responsibilities and Tasks
- Working directly with all other stakeholders this position is responsible for the selling, planning and coordinating of all aspects of private event and meeting functions held within the club to achieve the annual private event sales plan.
- Development of a sufficient prospect inventory and maintain a tracking system, to insure on-going contact with existing client base and development of new clients. External and internal markets may encompass seminars, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, luncheons, high tea and other events.
- Responsible for selling all private functions. This includes meeting with the clients to determine needs, meeting those needs and exceeding their expectations through detailed communication with both client and support staff from prospecting to execution of the event.
- Networking inside and outside the Club to obtain "leads" and build relationships with new and existing clients
- Work with Food and Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef to establish profitable and competitive private event menus that meet the client's needs.
- Provided accurate forecasting of private event sales to properly execute the Club’s business plan.
- Obtain feedback from Member/host to insure satisfaction.
- Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
- All service administered to Club Members and their guests consistent with Randpark events strategy.
- Attendance at all required Food and Beverage Meetings, and Department Head Meetings scheduled both within the club and outside the club.
- Professional, impeccable appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel.
- Maintaining all audio visual equipment, Internet service and other items relating to the private event department.
- Work closely with the Membership Department in obtaining information on new Members and their needs through New Member telephone calls.
- Participate in New Member Connect and 12 month Retention Strategy programs.

Job Requirements
- Prefer a minimum of two year experience with a proven track record establishing marketing/prospecting programs to drive event revenues while working in a team environment.
- Proven ability in leadership, communication and negotiating techniques to create Magic Moments for Members, Clients and fellow Employee Partners.
- Creative, energetic outgoing personality with organizational skills and attention to detail. Must possess a burning desire and commitment for continuous improvement.
- Sales experience preferably in catering and private event functions. Must have practical knowledge of food preparation and social customs of etiquette, especially in regards to private events; basic knowledge of liquor and wine. Knowledgeable of all proper methods of food and beverage service, systems, controls and costs. Additionally, should have thorough working knowledge of all applicable health, sanitation and licensing ordinances.
