Applicants must reside in Howick or Pietermaritzburg.
Requirements:
? Facilitation
o Assist facilitators to prepare and develop instructional training material, training plans and aids such as visual aids, tutorials, demonstration models, and supporting training reference documentation.
o Liaise with facilitators regarding learners at risk (attendance, competence etc.)
o Internal audit of facilitation sessions to ensure training quality and effectiveness.
o Support and guide facilitators in terms of adherence to training schedule and timeframes.
o Review weekly facilitator report and ensure it is submitted on time.
o Research and gather information on subject matter if necessary.
o Ensure Facilitators apply various methods of learning, example role-plays, group work, presentation etc., to ensure optimum knowledge transfer.
o Act as a replacement for any absent facilitator when required
o Conduct monthly training sessions with Facilitators covering areas that would include: training methodologies, how to manage Learners and the class, information sharing and refreshers on facilitation and practical activities in class and in the field
? Mentoring and Coaching of Learners
o Implement and facilitate orientation Programme to new learners
o Identify training needs and requirements of learners.
o Set learner development objectives and evaluating learning outcomes.
o Identify and address present and future needs of learners.
o Review, analyze and follow up on learner absenteeism.
o Escalate learner issues to Academy Manager if cannot resolve immediately or if it affect more than one learner.
? Administration and reporting
o Ensure weekly facilitator reports are accurate and consolidate before submission to Academy Manager weekly
o Submit monthly report to Academy Manager identifying learners at risk from a learning and absenteeism perspective and also a summary of facilitator performance, identifying areas of possible focus
? Assessments and POE Files
Work closely with Assessors and Moderators, including Programme Coordinator:
o Ensure that assessments are completed and conducted according to requirements, this includes but is not limited to pre- assessments, post-assessments and remediation.
o Ensure that assessments are planned and executed according to timeframes.
o Ensure all parties involved as aware of the requirements of the assessment
o Ensure that all documentation for assessments are completed accurately and according to Assessment SOP.
o Conduct oral assessments fairly and according to standard.
o Observe all Behavioral Observations and ensure all comments are authentic and sufficient evidence is provided.
o Notify learners of assessment timeously.
o Ensure that all learners are provided with feedback on assessments i.e. developmental or otherwise.
o Ensure assessments are quality checked and signed off according to requirements.
? Practical
o Plan and co-ordinate practical sessions for each module.
o Ensure practical work is logged.
Requirements:
? A relevant post Matric qualification preferably in education or adult-based education and training.
? Assessor qualification essential
? Registered with SETA as a constituent assessor essential OR proof that such registration is imminent
? Minimum of 2 years previous facilitation experience and experience working with special needs learners essential
Must have own vehicle and drivers licence
