Qualifications & Requirements:

• Registered CA (SA) having passed the Board Exams at 1st attempt.
• Must have averaged 75% or more academically.
• 8-10 years of experience post articles (Previously held a senior position).
• Completed articles with one of the Big 4 Audit Firms.
• Must have extensive up to date knowledge of current IFRS statements and their implementation.
• Experience with sophisticated financial reporting systems and their implementation.
• Good working knowledge of Accounting Package (Pastel, Oracle, Caseware, etc).
• Previous experience in Fund Accounting and Mutual Funds will be advantageous.
• Good management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expert knowledge on Microsoft Office suite.
• Stable career history.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly management account reporting of consolidated complex group with tight deadlines.
• Annual reporting of IFRS compliant group consolidated financial statements of a financial services group.
• Reporting of financial information to stock exchanges in a manner compliant with their regulations.
• Assists with the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and financial forecasts, and variances from forecasts.
• Implementation of infrastructure systems and administration systems.
• Preparation of regular management reports.
• Assigning tasks and setting up structures in the department.
• Setting up performance criteria for staff and evaluation of staff.
• Training, development and mentoring of team.
