Upmarket hotel in Franschhoek requires a very hands-on Housekeeper, working with the housekeeping team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and all public areas. All heads of department take their turn on the Duty Manager/ Hosting rota and so the successful candidate will have had experience of his type of responsibility.

Qualifications / Experience
? Experience of quality 5*hotel/ property
? Running an in-house laundry service
? Budgeting, procurement, ordering and cost control
? Experience of team management
? Experience of setting and maintaining standards
? Experience of training team members to achieve and maintain standards
? Guest liaison and ensuring guest requirements are communicated to the operational team
? Good understanding of cleaning schedules and processes
? Experience of duty management/ hosting

Duties include:
? Management of Housekeeping department
? Managing housekeeping team
? Liaising between teams to ensure that all aspects of the guests stay are well produced and coordinated
? Liaising with the other managers and team members to ensure that all guest requests and their feedback is appropriately followed through
? Cost Control – ensuring that departmental costs are controlled and internal processes are followed
? Training and developing team members to ensure 5 star standards are maintained
? Duty Manager shifts
? Ensuring that all guest areas are immaculate and have a high standard of attention to detail
? Making sure that housekeeping and laundry consistently maintains the highest standards and procedures where needed
? Planning and coordinating regular deep cleans of all areas
? Overall responsibility for presentation of guest rooms, communal areas and staff areas
