Senior Human Resources Consultant

Our client requires the services of a Senior Human Resources Consultant to support and drive the implementation of strategic and tactical plans for the Human Resources (HR) function thereby ensuring the achievement of the company’s business goals through efficient and effective people. 


 Key Performance areas: 



  • Implement the strategic and tactical plan for Human Resources that is aligned to the strategic objectives of the company

  • Determine Human Resources Best Practices for CS the company

  • Develop and implement OD strategies / plans and support line management with the tools to implement and develop optimal structures linked to strategy thereby ensuring the envisaged organizational culture

  • Embed EE transformation objectives into all OD initiatives

  • Introduce OD trends and best practice into the business

  • Ensure OD interventions comply with relevant legislation

  • Implement job profiling, grading and evaluation 

  • Support implementation of performance management strategy / plans

  • Support implementation of reward and recognition strategies / plans

  • Support implementation of staff survey process and roll out of findings / action plans

  • Manage Industrial Relations (incl. administration) and provide advice and training to line managers based on Legislation and Company Policies

  • Develop and implement Talent Management and Succession strategies

  • Perform recruitment and selection activities

  • Conduct training needs analysis based on PDP’s and other assessment tools

  • Support the implementation of 360 degree assessments

  • Compile Workplace Skills Plan

  • Facilitate and coordinate training and development interventions

  • Write outcomes based training manuals based on development needs

  • Assist with the implementation of learnership and graduate programmes

  • Managing and aligning the study aid programme to broader organizational skills requirements

  • HR administration

  • Assist with the standardization of HR practices across the company

  • Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures


 The successful candidate must have:



  • Matric with a B Degree in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology

  • 5 – 10 Years experience as a generalist in a corporate HR environment

  • Computer literate – MS Office and VIP Payroll

  • Knowledge of relevant Legislation

  • Knowledge of Labour law, Basic Conditions of Employment, EE Act and Skills Act

  • Knowledge of CSE Human Resources Policies and Procedures

  • Additional qualifications in OD / Industrial Psychology / Industrial Relations will be advantageous

  • A natural communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • A resilient and courageous person that can deal with ambiguity, conflict and criticism

  • A strong decision maker with good relationship building skills

  • Knowledge of change management and general organizational behavior practices and models

  • Knowledge of remuneration structures and talent management
