Position details:

The Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following:

Auditing sites and identifying Energy Efficiency/ Optimization opportunities
Completing HVAC designs and taking professional responsibility for design work of team
Running tenders
Overseeing system implementation and commissioning
Ongoing monitoring of systems to ensure that they perform to design
Establishing relationships with senior client technical personnel
Staying abreast of recent technical developments in your field
Supporting sales team in preparing proposals

Job Qualification & Experience:
Our client has a relatively small, but rapidly growing HVAC team that deals with a wide variety of clients. The successful candidate will be one who has demonstrated the following attributes:

Highly responsible – you have taken full ownership for designing and managing the delivery of HVAC projects, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, in budget and to the client’s satisfaction. This has meant often rolling up your sleeves and going beyond your role. While you realise that this may not be sustainable, the alternative, to shift goal posts or miss targets, is not ever an option for you.
Strong problem solver – you enjoy the challenge of solving engineering problems from first principles. As a result you have often come up with innovative designs or approaches that either saved significant capital or operational costs for clients.
Good client skills – you have experienced clients which placed unreasonable demands on you or your team. In such cases you have acted decisively to shield yourself and your team from such demands, in a manner which built your reputation as a leader and a colleague that can be trusted to protect the interests of your team.
Broad Experience – you have experience in several industries including Healthcare and Commercial buildings, both in heating and cooling applications (preferably).
