Purpose of the Job:

It is expected of each employee to maintain the standards, as set out in the Tasks below. Each employee will be evaluated on a quarterly basis and feedback will be given. The duties as set out are expected to be performed timeously by the employee and are applicable for the company as well as all affiliated companies. Your progress pertaining to these duties will be taken into consideration when considering your yearly salary increase and the yearly bonus. Bonuses and salary increases thus be based on merit and at the sole discretion of the company. Apart from your duties it will also from time to time be expected of you to perform duties outside of your recorded duties which could eventually be automatically added to your Task List. The Task List could be altered and adjusted at any time without notice, based on strategy changes of the company as well as affiliated Companies.

Main Functions:

Product sales analysis in terms of all departments for the group:

• Formulating and distributing best seller reports by using the store IT system reports
• Formulating and distributing of overall sales of each key department
• Suggestions to stores based on findings from analysis

IT and Web Development:

• Develop and maintain a streamlined IT system in order to consolidate stores sales
• Develop and maintain a centralized sales reporting system for the group
• Coordinate and implement all IT related matters to the three system developers
• Develop and maintain all aspects of an E-commerce solution for stores
• Ensure that External Backups of all Office Computers are done regularly by IT Blue and ensure that backups are working
• Purchase hardware and software
• Planning, developing and implementing the budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, to ensure cost effectiveness
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems
• Researching and installing new systems
• Guaranteeing the smooth running of all systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision;
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to
• Securing data from internal and external attack
• Offering users appropriate support and advice
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies
• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Audit and verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented systems and assess their outcomes
• Preserve and control assets, information security and control structures
• Provide orientation to current and new users of existing technology
• Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Install work stations, connect and set up hardware load all required software
• Provide network accounts and passwords as required
• Monitor security of all technology
• Install and maintain Fool proof and passwords
• Input and maintain IP addresses
• Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
• Perform other related duties as required
• Troubleshoot all hardware, software and network operating system

Store Visits

• Analysis of system reports to determine best sellers to optimize on product selection

Other:

• Maintain and streamline all Point of Sale Systems
• Maintain and streamline the BI Systems Automated
• Develop and maintain dashboard as per requests
• Develop, maintain and improve Model Stock list (Model Stock)
• Formulating and distributing BI Quarterly report for group / area (with CSI's) Increase inventory sale
• Develop and maintain BI system in order to be used in supplier negotiations
• Develop and maintain free Wi-Fi in stores
• Incorporation of the Customer data basis into the Point of Sale system
• Assist with all aspects relating to Company stores and affiliated companies

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate.
• IT degree or qualification.
Experience in:
• HTML5, PHP, SQL, BI Systems.
• Linux.
• Advanced Excel.
• Microsoft Outlook.
• Management and supervisory skills.
• Have the ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.
• Knowledge of computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Knowledge of computer troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of computer viruses and security.
• Knowledge of computer mail and internet programs.
• Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, word.
• Have the ability to process graphics, website development programs at a highly proficient level.
