Join a fast growing global concern in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe keeping of inventory, control over inventory movements, as well as, Oracle ERP and MRP stock accuracy through management of a Cycle Counting program and accurate receiving and issuing of inventory and finished goods to the production shop floor and customers. You will be required to communicate with suppliers and forwarders on a regular basis to track and trace goods.

Primary Objectives:
Management & measurement of your reporting staff, to ensure that all theirs duties are performed accurately and timeously.
Ensure the goods receiving and despatching functions are performed accurately.
Provide support to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to enable that position to achieve the targets and goals,
Actively participating in a Succession Planning and mentoring programme amongst the Warehouse/Inventory teams, ensuring the Company's commitments and skills development targets are achieved.
Manage all aspects of warehousing which would include (but not limited to), inventory control viz. issuing and receiving. Cycle counting, location verification and accuracy, also housekeeping.
Setting of daily work tasks, monitoring the day to day workloads of the Warehouse & Inventory Control and ensuring that KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) targets are met.
Responsible for the Oracle ERP stock accuracy through management of a Cycle Counting program and accurate receiving of stock and issuing of stock to the production shop floor and customers.
Managing the system integrity through all aspects concerning the Logistics, Receivables, and Cataloguing.
To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilisation of the resources and encourage teamwork across the departments.
Follow site safety rules at all times.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal customers.
Communicates with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager of any difficulties with shortages or schedules, in a timely manner to promote optimum efficiency.
Moves shipments into appropriate locations for inventory and maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the goods receiving and despatching areas.
Establish and maintain a goods receiving, despatching area and maintains stock areas.
Manage garbage and recycling dumpsters for pick-up on appropriate days
Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Ensure the goods receiving and despatching functions are performed effectively and all related Company procedures are followed.
Routes items to relevant departments/work areas.
Inspects outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet company and forwarders’ specifications.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
