Skills, Qualifications and Experience requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12
• Microsoft MCSE
• Cisco CCNA
• Linux LPI
o A+
o N+
• A minimum of 5 years’ working experience as an IT support technician and directly supporting end-users, both face-to-face and remotely
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and upgrading desktop / workstation and server hardware
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience installing, maintaining, and supporting corporate network environments (LAN and WAN)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows and Apple operating systems
• Must have own transport
• Fault find iOS issues rapidly
• Fault find printer and OS user issues rapidly
• Experience troubleshooting and setting up mobile devices, especially those on the Android and iOS platforms
• Windows Server operating systems
• Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite environments
• Microsoft Office application suites
• Advanced networking experience – routers, access points, switches
• VPN setup / support
• Active Directory
• Experience having worked with a helpdesk ticketing system such as Zendesk, Heat, Remedy, etc.
• Disaster Recovery

Key Responsibilities
• Be accountable for effecting remote and onsite IT support to all internal and external sites in the recording and resolution of all IT support tickets logged and / or calls taken
• Provide technical support in terms of hardware, software, systems, and administration
• Ensure expected service levels and response times are adhered to
• Follow the company processes to effectively escalate matters with effective resolutions
• Maintain constant communication with end users, engineers, partners, and third-party service providers on all matters that require technical support
• Ensure SLAs are met
• Provide after-hours support
• Responsible for Servers and Systems backup and recovery.
• Software Licensing, procurement and IT asset management

Advantageous Skills
• Advanced networking – Firewalls (Sonicwall, Linux IP tables etc.)
• Linux operating systems
• VMware
• Kaspersky Security Center and Endpoint Security

Other information
• Will be required to work overtime
• Must take initiative, ownership and responsibility for work
• Must be able to work in an environment with minimal supervision
• Will be working in a in high-pressure environment
