Senior Java Developer needed for a great company in the Johannesburg North area. This is for a large online company boasting with loads of company benefits and room for growth.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain existing systems and applications.
• Troubleshooting issues and problems.
• Developing new systems.
• Participating in Design and Architecture of new systems.
• Documentation of systems developed.
• Unit Testing own code.
• Interacting with users for the purposes of requirements gathering, testing and issue troubleshooting.

Qualification and experience:
• Related Degree or Diploma
• 5+ years experience
• Java Certifications is a plus
• Strong Java development experience.
• Object Orientated and SOA development experience.
• Knowledge of the SDLC (specifically within a web and Java environment).
• Must be able to work independently and have the ability to work under pressure
• JAVA SE (1.5)
• Eclipse IDE
• Oracle Database
• Apache/Tomcat
• Web services experience (XML, XSL, standards)
• HTML/PHP and JavaScript
• Windows Server Environment
• Other programming languages such as Visual Basic or C# advantageous
