PBT Group has a requirement for a Senior Java Consultant.

• The position is focused on software development in the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Integration space.
• We’re seeking a developer who’s able to quickly troubleshoot problems in a complex environment. The incumbent must be able to take ownership of problems and to logically and systematically debug, diagnose, and fix root causes.
• While we don’t require the candidate to perform system administrative tasks, the ability to configure and administer Linux servers will count in their favour.
• The appropriate candidate will be versatile and have an aptitude and passion to learn new technology and stretch their ability.
• The right candidate is one who is excited about advances in the field and spends personal time reading about software development.
• While working in this team you will be exposed to technologies that implement Service Component Architecture (SCA) principles, use Java Message Service (JMS) extensively, and perform event correlation, process orchestration and business process management.
• The legacy system is in IBM mainframe technologies and JBoss Application Server.
• We’ve acquired a suite of TIBCO technologies such as ActiveMatrix Service Grid, BusinessWorks, BusinessEvents, iProcess, and Enterprise Message Service.
• Your role will be mastering these technologies by designing implementing enterprise services in our enterprise service bus (ESB) domain.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Java / J2EE, MDM Infosphere, SOAP / REST, Web Services, XML / XSD, Eclipse, AGILE
• Relevant Tertiary IT qualification or qualification through experience
• 5+ years’ systems development experience
• 3+ years’ Java development experience
• Solid experience in Spring Framework, Java EE, OSGi
• Experience in TIBCO technologies such as ActiveMatrix Service Grid, BusinessWorks, BusinessEvents, iProcess, and Enterprise Message Service
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• OO analysis and design
• Solid knowledge of OO design patterns –very advantageous
• Design patterns
• UML
• SQL
• Application Server (Jboss or other)

 
PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 7 Years of Java/J2EE experience.
• 2 years of MDM Infosphere experience
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Design concept.
• Good SQL knowledge (Preferably Oracle)
• Proficiency on Eclipse IDE
• Good knowledge of XML/XSD.
• Hands on experience on SOAP/REST services.
• MQ integration experience will be advantageous
• Should have worked in Waterfall/Agile projects
