Our client is seeking a dynamic, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative Senior Java Developer to join the Durban team.
The role
To develop, maintain and support JAVA based applications in an OLAP environment. The individual would focus on improving performance and stability of the product and implementing technological best practices.
As a Senior Consultant we also expect you to create new business opportunities, be proficient in technical design and development.

Experience and Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in IT.
• 4+years of experience in designing and implementing data architecture platforms that enable well integrated transactional, collaborative and analytical systems.
• Experience in a Retail Systems environment.
• Minimum 3 years’ JAVA programming experience
• Experience in OLAP tools
• Experience in data architecture
• Experience in data modelling (Normalization, Star Schema).
• Must have completed several Business Intelligence projects.
• Experience with business requirements research and analysis.
• Proven experience in systems design and development.
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills.
