Our client in the La Mercy area is recruiting for a Senior Manager: AgriZone Operations, to oversee the operations of the AgriZone programme in order to develop it as a centre of excellence that generates high value produce & high service standards for its tenants and operators
Manage day-to-day operations of the AgriZone;

Optimize resource management;

Manage implementation of maintenance schedules for all specialized infrastructure on the AgriZone (high-tech greenhouses, packhouses, water treatment systems and infrastructure);

Manage large number of operations and maintenance contracts;

Manage consultants;

Manage operational risks;

Oversee Nursery operations, landscaping and rehabilitation programme

Manage AgriZone inventory and assets;

Manage services and tenant satisfaction;

Compiling and managing divisional budgets;


SHEQ and other legislative compliance;

Develop and implement different relevant standards;

Staff management;

Manage outsourced service providers

Provide technical input into proposed agricultural developments and evaluate designs

Resource planning with regards to new developments

Monitor progress of new developments

Assist in evaluating and selecting prospective tenants/developers

Stakeholder engagements

Implement energy efficiency and other sustainable agriculture projects

Investigation and implementation of continuous improvement projects

Assist other divisions where Engineering input may be required e.g. CSI unit with regards to Infrastructure

initiatives or Development Planning & Infrastructure

Assisting with Enterprise Development projects;

Liaise with prospective tenants and developers

The Emloyee will perform any other duties allocated to him /her by the Employer from time to time

Supervise staff to ensure adequate provision of services to tenants, operators and internal divisions

Oversee allocation of tasks and human resources on an ongoing basis

Ensure the company’s performance management standards are in place

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Agriculture with emphasis on Agricultural / Industrial Engineering
5 - 10 years working experience in an agricultural field.

3 - 5 years senior management experience in the agricultural field.
