A national telecoms company is looking for a Senior Manager: IT Services Management with solid knowledge of Telco Business structures, policies and processes.
Role Description:
• IT Service Level Management, Service Continuity Management, and Service Operation.
• Lead cross-functional IT development, operational and support teams to ensure availability and stability of business critical applications.
• Manage application development, application performance level, systems integration and automation.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
• Manage business critical applications support and ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Responsible for vision, leadership, guidance and management
• Manage vendors including negotiation, system support management and service level management
• Establish and manage business continuity plan
• Manage continuous improvement of system development; and turndown / retirement of legacy systems
• Manage production emergency changes, maintenance releases / upgrade of third party software
• Manage customer and broad stakeholder relationships
• Manage internal Ad Hoc projects
• Manage IT Metric targets and SLA; and ensure levels of IT service delivery are achieved
• Implement and manage an IT Service Level Management function
• Achieve IT Service Continuity Management process goals, and ensure availability and stability of IT technical and service facilities (incl. computer systems, networks, applications, data repositories, telecoms, technical support and Service Desk)
• Interpret and implement business and operational plans
• Responsible for staff performance and development
• Ensure implementation of the climate intervention strategy; and change initiatives
• Ensure sound financial management; budget compilation and monitoring of expenditure/ income
• Manage cost reduction initiatives without compromising service delivery quality

Qualifications and experience:
• Relevant degree (NQF level 7) / diploma (NQF level 6)
• Post-grad qualification (NQF level 8) / Senior Management programme – will be an advantage
• ITIL v3 (or higher) on Management level – will be an advantage
• 5 years’ experience in business and IT Service Management
Special Requirements:
• Knowledge of Telco Business structures, policies and processes
• High level of computer literacy (essential)
• Prepared to travel
• Valid Driver’s licence
