Will serve in the role as the strategic and operational support to the Principal Officer (PO). The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of PO and is required to understand and assist with prioritising and managing workload, ensuring sufficient capacity to focus on delivering the strategy. They will be required to act with the full authority of the PO and engage on all aspects of the Scheme on the PO’s behalf. They will work closely with the Executives and Senior Management to aid the delivery of the strategy. They are also key to ensuring the Executive Committee (EXCO) is fully engaged with the Scheme‘s activities. Provide Executive Support to the PO for deliverables at the Board, Committee and EXCO. Proactive identification of issues that could impact on the PO’s successful execution of commitments and planned activities; Execute and manage research requirements in support of the Office of the PO; Ensure the preparation for ‘critical path’ meetings and facilitate requirements on behalf of the PO
Represent the Office of the PO on Scheme engagements and Forum where its deemed to be appropriate; Support the PO in leading the activities of the Executive Committee by managing the EXCO program/activities and Chair the GEMS Senior Manager’s Coordination Group; Manage the divisional operational plan activities, staff and budget of the Office of the PO.

B-Com and/or Business Management Degree or its equivalent; A relevant post graduate qualification; At least 8 years relevant work experience ; 5 of which should be at management level; A good level of Financial Management experience; At least 3 – 5 years of Project Management experience; A Skilled communicator, be adaptive to change, engender a positive culture and implement a dynamic approach to communications and stakeholders relations; Corporate experience in stakeholder engagement/management, communications, consultation or relevant field (essential)
