Our client is a JSE listed company in the Telematics industry and is looking for General Manager to lead and manage one of there big insurance project divisions.

The main purpose of this position is to manage staff, lead department managers, control administration process, and ensure staff complies with company policies and procedures and maintaining high levels of customer service. It is also required generate new business and achieve sales targets for the region.
1.1 To constantly evaluate the projects department in terms of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and take corrective measures where necessary
1.2 To manage the performance of all team members ensuring efficient service is rendered at all times, and maintain high levels of customer service.
1.3 To liaise with stakeholders to identify possible Marketing tools or strategies to ensure financial growth within the department concerned
1.4 To control and manage all financial administrative aspects that form part of the management of department
1.5 To compile, manage and control the department budget
1.6 To manage and direct the performance of Technical Staff ensuring quality, and efficient service is rendered at all times
1.7 To manage and direct the performance of the Stores ensuring sound stock control practices
1.8 To control and manage departmental office administration
1.9 To adhere to all Departmental and Company Policies, Procedures and SOP’s
1.10 To complete any other task or duty management may reasonably expect of you
1.11 To continuously search for new business opportunities, and to obtain market intelligence as well as competitor intelligence and share with the sales team
1.12 To compile and distribute necessary reports
1.13 To coach and mentor the staff, department managers, and account managers
1.14 To be in regular and close contact with the Training Dept in terms of identified training needs of staff
1.15 To council and discipline staff failing to meet targets and key performance areas.
Ø Matric/Grade 12/equivalent qualification
Ø Relevant b DEGREE/Business Management qualification and/or equivalent
Ø Seven (7) years relevant experience of which at least five (5) years should be at a management level
Ø Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000
Ø MS Office
