Main Functions:
• Following minimum knowledge required for Senior Operator:
• General knowledge about the different type of DCS & PLC system
• Override Procedure of critical equipment & system, MOS/POS
• Thorough knowledge of Control narratives and ensure product specifications and quality standards.
• Knowledge of Alarm Management System, Advanced Process Control(APC)
• Fully aware of Product Routing (Normal & Emergency case)
• Computer application (Office, PI, PIMS, LIMS, Maximo, SAP,……etc)
• Brief knowledge about Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit (HMU).
• Knowledge about Lurgi Technology.
• Type of heaters (Natural draft, forced draft, induced draft & balanced draft) & type of heaters used in PDH plant.
• Different type of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating & Cryogenic pump etc.) startup/ shutdown/ trouble shooting
• Emergencies and trouble shooting of HMU Plant
• Catalyst & chemicals usage in HMU plant
• Knowledge about the catalyst life enhancement in HMU Unit
• HMU Unit Reactor’s operation & reaction chemistry.
• Operation & troubleshooting of Feed gas compressor and recycle gas compressor
• Operation and trouble shooting of Steam Reformer and Pre-reformer
• Steam reformer control philosophy
• Operation and trouble shooting of steam generation system
• Turbo expander’s operation & Trouble shooting
• Operation and trouble shooting of PSA system

Requirements:
***ONLY OPEN TO SOUTH AFRICAN CANDIDATES
• High School/Diploma/Degree with 12 years of experience in Petrochemical/Refinery out of which 5 years of Panel Operation Experience is a must.
