This exciting role is a core operational requirement within the business. It includes building and maintaining UAT, QA and Development environments and infrastructure (configuring web / app / db servers), maintaining the build servers, setting up and customizing build scripts, db replication, and automating the myriad deployment tasks and upgrade processes both on-premise and in Amazon.

Description:

Improving and extending existing build and deployment processes; automation
Rollout, deployment and server configuration (IIS-hosted applications, Windows Service-hosted applications, and reporting applications)
Working with Amazon hosted VM’s (PaaS)
Diagnosing and solving back-end integration and configuration issues
Monitoring and improving automated processes for Enterprise integration
Technical documentation related to deployment, configuration and build processes
2nd Line application support –internal Line-of-Business applications, and public-facing investor tools
Production fixes, monitoring

Minimum qualifications and experience:

3 - 5 years experience
Experience with MS Build, Team City, Windows Server
Experience working in a financial systems environment is beneficial
Bachelors Degree or National Diploma related to engineering or computer science
Technical and 2nd line application Support is required

Key competencies:

Basic familiarity with T-SQL and querying relational data
Configuration file maintenance using XML and XDT transformation
Basic MS SQL Server database tuning and replication
Familiarity with SVN source control and Team City build server
MS SQL Server and related technologies
SQL Management Studio
Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
Familiarity with Red Gate products is beneficial
CCNA, Microsoft MCP or MCDBA would be beneficial
Helpdesk experience beneficial
PowerShell beneficial
