Job Description

• Work in partnership with buyers to meet sales targets and reduce inventory risk.
• Drive innovation and differentiation within the planning department
• Lead and mentor junior planners
• Forecast future shops and inventory needs
• Develop demand forecasting strategies through the use of proprietary data analysed through Qlikview and Excel.
• Perform sales analysis by business category to provide sales and category targets for the curator teams.
• Develop product-pricing strategies that optimize sales and margin.
• Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors, category strategies and key business driver.
• Review buying patterns to identify best-sellers and slow-sellers.
• Analyse sell- through and mark downs performance and develop future strategies.
• Collaborate on key merchandising strategies.
• Manage Open-to-Buy by division/by department to align inventory with revenueexpectations.
• Pre- Season: Partner with buyersto develop product assortment, markdown budget and strategy, and inventory plans.
• In- Season: Revise in-season plans based on actual sales performance, adjusting sales and inventory to maximize profitability.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a planner in a retail environment.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills.
• Highly numerate
• Problem solver and solutions driven.
• Strong business acumen with leadership qualities
• Strong attention to detail, organized with good time management skills.
• Well presented, confident, assertive and determined.
• Systems savvy with experience using Excel.Qlikview experience will be beneficial.
• Mobile – car, motorbike.
• Tertiary degree.
