Telecommunication Giant situated in the Northern Suburbs seeks a Senior Planning and Optimization Engineer to join their well-established and innovative team.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in development of the Radio Frequency network design strategy
• Evaluate and implement the new radio system elements and solutions into the region
• Implement the introduction of new radio features or parameters into the region
• Evaluate and approve site shares with other network operators
• Responsible for all aspects of engineering for Network Optimisation
• Implement company standard best practise optimisation methodology
• Perform routine analysis of measured data and make recommendations to improve network performance
• Drive testing activities to measure network quality
• Provide all required reporting related to the activities
• Compile reports pertaining to specific problems encountered
• Ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity of all related data and documentation
• Manage and co-ordinate monthly network benchmarking
• Maximise existing asset revenue generation
• Provide input into the evaluation, development and maintenance of P&O specialist’s competencies and performance
• Prepare progress reports

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering or National Technical Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 3 years’ experience in a radio planning environment
• In-depth knowledge of Radio planning theory
• Good Experience in Radio Frequency Planning tools
• In depth knowledge of GSM networks
• Good knowledge of BSS parameters / algorithms
