Software Vendor seeks experienced Senior Pre sales Consultant in the Technology space-Johannesburg. They are now classified as one of the TOP 3 Software Vendors in their discipline. You will work with the TOP 10 international banks and be at the forefront of the latest technology trends.

Senior Pre-Sales Consultants provide specialist pre-sales services to current and prospective clients, distributors, and partners to facilitate and enable sales, deployment and support of the organizations products and services.

You will provide pre-sales support to sales with system configuration recommendations, and you are responsible for providing quick and accurate responses on the technical aspects of a Request for Proposal (RFP).

Pre-Sales can include system-engineering aspects, technical product presentations, technical training, trouble shooting and technical account management.

Senior Pre-Sales Consultants are expected to train, educate, and transfer knowledge to more junior Presales Consultants.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

-Focus on more complex technical/business problems, generally without day-to-day supervision or direction.

-Provide guidance and advice to less experienced Consultants in case of complex issues during the pre-sales phase.

-Has strong proficiency in the tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.

· Drive the pre-sales phase by introducing company product/services offering and provide product demonstrations – functionality, performance, system architecture, system requirements etc. – by interfacing with prospective and current customers, distributors and partners (both at business and technical level) and recommend system solutions that ensure the optimum usage and utilization of

the organizations products and services.

· Set up and utilize processes and research methods to provide quick and accurate responses on the technical aspects of RFP’s, and ensure that all technical inquiries from clients, distributors and partners are replied.

· Liaise with Marketing, Product Strategy and Development on how to best address the current and future needs of the market space.

· Ensure that more junior Pre-Sales Consultants develop their skills and knowledge, both on the product and the pre-sales process itself.

· Provide specialist support to other consultants, distributors and partners in both business and technical aspects, and build and enhance technical credibility in customer relations.

· Stay current with market trends and observe functional and technical changes and advances.

Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.

Skills and Qualifications

-Sales skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or

services, this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.

-Technical skills: Specific knowledge of core banking products (functionality and architecture), as well as knowledge of competitors solutions.

-Good knowledge of banking applications, computer hardware

and software, including business processes (retail banking, asset management, custody etc.) and programming.

Educational & Proficiency level:

-Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

-Professional with generally a minimum 4 years of domain experience, ideally in a banking environment.

-Effective demonstration of technical compatibility/feasibility that contributes to reaching and exceeding regional sales targets in an optimal time frame.

-Achieve personal objectives set forth by the local Sales Management.

-Facilitation of successful contracts indicated by revenue margin of license versus cost of consultancy to complete project and go live.
