Key Responsibilities
Identify plant losses through the collection, stratification and analysis of data to facilitate and contribute to the cost deployment process
Identification & selection of focussed improvement project
Produce annual plan to attack identified losses
Responsibility for driving Health & Safety culture on the line including: scheduling risk assessments, SOPs, safe ops, actively promoting behavioural safety and SUSA processes, Health & Safety audits, incident investigation follow up
Responsibility for product quality control on the line, including: product quality checks in place; implementation of quality procedures; product identification and classification; investigation into customer complaints and subsequent actions
Responsibility for ensuring environmental controls and checks are in place and adhered to
Ensure 18000, 14000 and 9000 procedures are implemented, understood and followed.
Drive Focussed Improvement projects and activities in line with site objectives and the annual plan, and any identified ‘pillar initiatives’
Ensure development and integration of Standard Operating Procedures (including safe ops) to drive consistent performance
Use and promote use of the correct WCM tools – Advance, Major, Standard and Quick Kaizen, tagging.
Work with Engineering to develop the SCADA process & GXO
Identification and development of key skills and behaviours within the team against defined job / skills matrix
Performance reviews with team members (formal and informal)
On-going coaching and development of individual team members
Communicating and managing team performance against identified targets and objectives
Giving constant feedback to the team and individuals and engaging / encouraging two way communication
Provide reports as required

Minimum requirements: Qualification, Skills and Experience
BEng, BSc Chemical Engineering
5- 10 years experience as a Production / Shift Manager or Process Engineer
Proven WCM or lean practices experience .
Knowledge of Kaizen tools and Application.
Project Management Experience
Experience to managing and developing teams
